We kicked off 2016 with this newsletter as a way to provide relevant company information that was entertaining and easy to navigate. I hope you found it as informative as I have and are looking forward to our 2017 newsletters.

As we reflect on 2016 and look ahead to 2017, please bear in mind the stature and importance our National Programs Group has in the marketplace and within Brown & Brown (BRO).

National Programs represents:
  • $2.6 billion of written premium
  • 1,700 teammates spread across the country
  • 28 brands managing over 100 programs
  • Over 30 carrier relationships
  • Approximately 25 percent of BRO’s total revenue

We can make a difference, and we did in 2016. We performed successfully in a challenging, competitive market, achieving our overall budgeted goals in revenue, profit and growth. Congratulations and thank you for your continued contributions to our success!

As we move into 2017, the challenge does not get any easier. Competition will continue to intensify; pricing pressure will remain and outside forces will disrupt where possible. Through it all, I am confident our team will once again rise up and prevail.

How? By playing to our strengths: our diversification, our carrier and distribution relationships, our scale, our technology advantage, our proven results and most importantly the creativity, drive and determination of our people. You make the difference.
