Preferred member service planning – A winning strategy to mitigate loss
The Preferred Loss Control department provides members with the opportunity to establish a safer workplace, mitigate liability exposures and improve the performance of their insurance program. These can all be accomplished with the proper development and implementation of a loss control service plan.
The service planning development process starts with an in-depth analysis of a member’s loss history to understand where and how losses occur. From there, Preferred Loss Control pinpoints the root causes of accidents and other losses to formulate preventative strategies. The result is a customized Loss Control Service Plan based on the best practices of accident prevention and claims management.
These service plans are not static but change over time.
Major enhancements to the Preferred Risk Management Resource Center
Preferred Loss Control provides a full complement of services, resources and support available to you at no cost. One of these key offerings is our Resource Center.
The Risk Management Resource Center now includes additional content and is available to Members whose EPLI coverages are with Preferred. Services and support will include the same functionally that you are currently receiving plus:
An enhanced assortment of over 20,000 pieces of content and apps, tailored to your area of expertise.
An expansive Learning Management System (LMS) with more than 200 online training courses.
The ability to add your own content, courses, and tool packages through a customized portal.
Claims reviews are an effective loss control tool used as an integral part of your risk management program. Loss runs provide a great deal of valuable information, but they cannot provide the full picture of a loss or your overall open exposures. Claims reviews provide a dynamic information exchange that gives real-world context to your claims analytics.
Preferred Governmental Claims Solutions, Inc. (PGCS) partners with Preferred to provide claims services. We welcome any opportunity to increase our knowledge about your entity and ways PGCS can help you reach your risk management goals. PGCS’ team of claims professionals focuses solely on Florida’s public entities. Our adjusters have specialized knowledge and experience with your area’s attorneys, providers and facilities who directly impact the value of your claims. PGCS works closely with local defense attorneys to understand the best litigation strategy. We leverage that knowledge to close your cases, both non-litigated and litigated, as efficiently as possible while meeting the goals of your risk management program.
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is now required by most cyber insurers. Many insureds are discovering that without MFA in place, they are unable to obtain Cyber Liability coverage.
Authentication is a process of verifying that a user’s identity is genuine. MFA verifies user identity by requiring that two or more pieces of information be provided. To access online services a member organization may require that employees provide an additional a pin or a password, confirmation by text on their phone or a fingerprint or scan. Learn more.
