Benchmark Analytics: Data-driven practices that can transform law enforcement recruitment and risk management
Preferred is proud to offer its members free access to the Benchmark Analytics iMPACT program that uses data driven, evidence-based practices to help law enforcement agencies reduce the risk of liability claims and improve officer recruiting and retention. The Preferred Seminar series brings relevant education, Preferred partners and networking opportunities to your region of Florida. Recently we had well attended seminars in Davenport and Port St. Lucie that included presentations on leadership, the Preferred Priority enhanced disaster recovery program and a Workers’ Compensation roundtable discussion.

Hosted by Liberty County, this exciting event that will feature three insightful and engaging presentations: De-Escalation, Preferred Priority Disaster Recovery Overview, 1st Amendment Auditors and Harassment in the Workplace. This half-day, in person event kicks off with breakfast at 9 a.m., followed by a delicious lunch provided for all attendees. Save the date! Don’t forget to sign up for the Preferred Member Education Day! This year’s event will feature a welcome reception on May 12 with dinner, drinks and an expanded networking zone. The main event on May 13 will include eight relevant and engaging presentations delivered by Florida public entity experts, breakfast, lunch and dedicated networking time. Preferred TIPS: Supporting safety and risk management for members
The Preferred TIPS matching grant program provides reimbursement of up to $5,000 per coverage year for current Preferred members who spend up to $10,000 on training/safety initiatives. The program supports risk management training and safety initiatives. Here are some of the ways members have used their Preferred TIPS grants:
Town of Medley Town of Medley received a Preferred TIPS check to support their safety initiatives and purchase of safety gear, supplies and barricades. Excellent work, Town of Medley!
City of Madeira Beach
This City of Madeira Beach team received a $5,000 Preferred TIPS check to support their focus on enhancing safety with their purchase of ADA-compliant picket fishing Rails and pads. Way to go City of Madeira!
Town of Indian Shores
Town of Indian Shores received a Preferred TIPS check for $5,000 to support their purchase of PPE. Congratulations on your dedication to safety!
City of Mascotte
The City of Mascotte certainly has its eye on safety. The City replaced over 420 feet of damaged sidewalk, eliminating a trip hazard and making it much safer to walk on the sidewalk. Dolly Miller, the City’s finance director, received a Preferred A TIPS matching grant check that supported their valuable safety initiative. Great job City of Mascotte!
