In response, we have fully implemented our business continuity plan to seamlessly remain ready to meet both your and your customers’ needs while playing our part in trying to manage the spread of the coronavirus. RESTAURANTS – Hired and Non-Owned update to meet changing needs
Restaurants are currently one of the hardest-hit businesses and are quickly changing and adapting to a new normal to service their customers. Many restaurants are moving to selling prepared meals, curbside pickup and delivery through Grubhub, other delivery services or their own drivers. In response to this we are offering to extend coverage for Hired and Non-Owned with the following guidelines:
- Loss Experience - No losses in past 5 years for hired/non-owed auto liability.
- Confirmation of Employee’s Personal Auto Liability Coverage and Limits - Employer has to obtain a copy of the employee’s personal auto insurance that shows a minimum of split limits of $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage or a Combined Single Limit of at least $300,000.
- Copy of Personal Auto Declarations Page or Certificate of Insurance in our file - Underwriter confirms and documents the file adequate personal insurance with proper limits per each employee driver is obtained.
- Complete Driver Information and Clean MVRs - submit a complete list of drivers’ names and their licensing information to order MVRs on each delivery driver. MVRs on each driver must be clean for past 3 years.
