1st Quarter 2016

We are kicking off the year full steam ahead with a jam packed first quarter of events sure to warm your heart on these chilly winter days. Check out these events in our offices around the country.

Overland Park
The Kansas crew is focusing their support this quarter on the Make a Wish Foundation. They will be raising money for a special wish, participating in their Walk for Wishes in April and even plan to have several coworkers certified as wish granters.

Denver
The Denver office will be raising funds for Reel Recovery, a national non-profit organization that conducts fly fishing retreats for men living with cancer. They'll be fishing for spare change and more as the OP employees take on ACM in a good ol' battle of Penny Wars.

San Diego
In January, the San Diego Arrowhead and ACM offices will be collecting bath towels for the children of Toussaint Academy, a haven for homeless youth where they learn skills to lead healthy, safe and fulfilling lives. Then, in February, there is a volunteer opportunity to make and serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. Dinner service will take place on Saturday, February 27. There will be two shifts for food prep and food service for up to 150 meals. Want to get involved? Sign up to volunteer for one of the shifts or make a donation. ACM will also be selling Valentine's Day candy grams for RETT.

In March, the San Diego office will be rolling up their sleeves to help The San Diego River Park Foundation clean up and restore a local coastal habitat. Stay tuned as we finalize the date. We'll need 15 volunteers to dedicate a part of their work day to help keep San Diego beautiful.

Carlsbad
This quarter, the Carlsbad location will be helping Christine Corpuz, an adjuster for ACM, with her effort to support Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. They plan to raise money with a breakfast burrito sale. In February and March the office will be fundraising for RETT with Valentine's Day candy grams and a coffee cart. Earn PTO for Volunteering

Our company recognizes employees who volunteer their time to help organizations across the world. Our Community Service Volunteer Plan enables all employees to take two paid days off per year to volunteer for a not-for-profit agency. There is a 4-hour minimum volunteer requirement and participation can include serving food at a shelter, beach clean up, raising money through walks, etc.

If you participate on a workday, the community service form must be completed and submitted to your direct manager prior to the requested day and is subject to their approval. Credit can be given for volunteer participation on the weekend subject to prior management approval. Managers are then responsible to forward an employee's completed volunteer form to Human Resources. If you have questions, please contact HR.

Employee participation is entirely voluntary and not required by Arrowhead, American Claims Management or OnPoint Underwriting.
